Everything that you see and feel is just memory projections from your past. It is the attachment to these feelings that creates our suffering. It is the ego that keeps us in prison and going in circles. But when you step back smoothly with awareness, you will see that it is not real. Not real in the sense that if you stay with the feeling, soon you’ll realize that these feelings are just temporary. Whatever feeling is temporary, it is not real. It becomes part of a dream. It is a character that we have built over the years to keep us alive. This character is the ego. Just surrender to the feelings because if you fight it, it makes it stronger. It is possible that you can rewire yourself. Many believe that we have to destroy the ego in order to be free of the thoughts and feelings. That is not the case. We need the ego to keep us alive. We all have an identity. The only difference is that you can build a new ego and use it only when is needed. Similarly, once you have control of the senses, you can use the senses at your disposal. Similarly to the mind, the mind will throw at us many thoughts constantly and it can be restless at times. It is possible to control our mind. We can use the mind for good causes or whatever else we want to do in this world. The mind has been used to the work unconsciously but through the practice of awareness, you can begin to have control of the mind. Yoga is one way to gain control of the body and mind. We live much of our lives in a race because the senses and mind determine how we should react to every situation. What I learned from spirituality is that the deeper you go inside of yourself, you’ll realize that you are just a blossom flower that despite all of the feelings and thoughts (whether good or bad), you are just an awesome human being.

Love,
